Eats and Reads @ Stories Books&Cafe – Echo Park

Stories Books & Cafe – Echo Park of LA

Books and breakfast in one setting? Okay, I’m in.

My friend wanted to have her birthday breakfast at Stories Books and Cafe in Echo Park. If you were just blankly walking by this place, you can easily mistake it as a book shop. However, once you walk in to bypass the shelves of adult and children books, you will then encounter rows of wooden table sets; topped with succulent plants. This is a little hidden cafe at the end of the “tunnel.”

Being surrounded by books and wall art sets a nostalgic mood for me since I spent many  weekends in a library during my childhood.

My friend and I shared the yogurt parfait, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the bacon breakfast burrito. I wished we had space for their vegan desserts and other baked goods, but I’ll save that for my next visit.

What did you have for breakfast today? Please share in the comments below.

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my post about turmeric. I’ve never been to LA, so I would love to learn more from a native as yourself. Looking forward to reading more 🙂
