Have you ever driven by a place over and over again and you keep telling yourself that you will it try it one day? I have many of those, but I can now finally cross Salju off of my list.
One of Salju’s specialties are their shaved snow and they offered a wide range of flavors and toppings for their “snow.” Today, I got to try their Vietnamese Iced Coffee Snow topped with chocolate syrup, rice balls, and brownie bites. My boyfriend got the Thai Iced Tea Snow topped with condense milk, graham crackers, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They were both so good and refreshing on this hot California Day.
If you have not tried shaved snow, I highly recommend it! The texture of it is unlike ice cream since it is made differently. A large milky, flavored ice block is hoisted into a rotating spit and the snow is spun out of this machine. The end results: soft, creamy, fuzzy, and delicious.
