Im-pork-tant Matters at Chego | Chinatown of LA

And I present to you… the Chubby Pork Belly Bowl of Chego!

Chinatown is just around the corner from my house, so I’ve been going there all my life. For someone who is used to seeing various Asian shops and restaurants, it was fascinating to see Chego come to life as it is the first “hipster” eatery that bloomed in the area.

They specialize in Asian/Latin Fusion and falls more on the salty side; but they add other ingredients such as pickled radishes and fresh veggies to neutralize the brininess. Their Chubby Pork Belly Bowl and Ooey Gooey Fries must be some of my favorite dishes to order. It’s easy for me to resort to these because pork belly and fries are some of my biggest weaknesses.
