Confessions of a Food Blogger

Confessions of a Food Blogger II: A Blogger’s High

In a recent post, I was transparent about my struggles as a novice blogger. It has been a lot of trial and error, but it all summed down to discovering the methods that work best for me. Most importantly, I just want to be honest about my experiences.

Here is a post in contrast: although food blogging has not always been a “piece of cake”, I must say that The S.F.B has more highs than lows. One way to describe it is by mentioning the “runner’s high” Have you heard of that before? I’ve gotten this feeling on numerous occasions from a good workout. The funny thing is that I get it from blogging, too. I feel happy, uplifted, and motivated. I think the euphoria is a byproduct of my creations. It feels wonderful to complete a post or design my website; a sense of accomplishment wraps around me every time. I also find myself stuck in a trance of ideas and I feel so in tuned with the rhythm of this music. Moreover, it has been a space where I turn my ideas into reality.

I also like that The SFB nurtures my creative spirit. It has become a “home” for my photography, writing, reading, creating, and discovering. One big thing for me is that I get to be expressive. It is so liberating to share my thoughts and creations without caring about who agrees or disagrees. What it comes down to is that I believe in The SFB. It doesn’t stress me out or give me anxiety. It has become an important ingredient of my happiness since it brings the best out of me.

So that’s that. It was nice sharing these thoughts and I hope blogging has only brought happiness to you, too. Have a great Sunday!

Thanks to my awesome boyfriend who created this logo :).

  2. I agree with your post. I love blogging about food, especially when I created something different from the norm and what I have seen on the social media. Just did one of those this morning for breakfast and just love it. Have a look at my Es’s Sweet Potato Toast Breakfast post.
I am very much an introvert and this is my way to communicate with the outside world and fellow bloggers.

  4. I agree with you; even if it can be a bit draining at times, in a positive way. ( If that even makes sense). I love the building, and like you, the photo side of things 🙂
