Philly’s Best – Burbank

Before visiting Philly’s Best in Burbank, the last time I had a philly cheesesteak sandwich was … in Philadelphia! It’s funny because my brothers back at home (L.A) really wanted to try cheesesteaks from Philly, so I bought a couple from Geno’s to fly it back to them. Although the sandwiches were no longer fresh nor warm, my brothers still really enjoyed it after they popped it in the oven. They even said it was the best they had and I cannot agree more. This explains why I never had another Philly cheesesteak sandwich in L.A after visiting Philly. But thanks to Philly’s Best, I’ve rekindled with these sandwiches after a long, long break.

Philly’s Best has numerous Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and hoagies (classics and nontraditional); sides like pizza fries and onions rings; and chicken sandwiches. For 25 years, they preserved the quality of a real Philly cheesesteak sandwich; allowing us Californians to know what it should really taste like.

I was so thrilled to see that they have “Old Bay” spices on their table! This is definitely an East Coast seasoning and I’ve never seen it anywhere in L.A. Being at Philly’s Best brought back great memories of Philadelphia, so I really enjoyed my experience.

Note: Philly’s Best is celebrating their 25th birthday next Wednesday, January 25th!!! All their cheesesteaks and hoagies will only be $5.00!!! It’s such a steal!!!

  1. I have a confession…I have NEVER had a Philly cheesesteak sammy! We have Italian Beef sandwiches in Chicago, so that’s what I’ve been eating all these years, but obviously I need to expand my horizons! 😀 Looks awesome!

  2. They have one in LA too?! I was just reading about one in Chicago.

Next time you come to Philly, go to John’s Roast Pork instead of Genos. John’s has the best steaks in the city. They have other good food too as the name implies.
