I recently ran in to Vincent Van Gogh. Sort of. While looking for some creative inspiration, I saw his quote: “I would rather die of passion than of boredom.”
This made me so happy. I felt a great sense of relief when I read this quote because I realized something- I am not bored. In fact, I’m living my life vibrantly. There’s passion, drive, creative spirit, and good food.
This has not always been the case, though.
Have you ever lived a life without passion? I have once upon a time ago, which is why I am feeling so grateful to not be in the realms of boredom. It was a scary point in my life because I constantly felt lost. I didn’t know what I wanted, what I truly cared about, and so on and so forth. Instead of putting all my eggs in one basket, I would divide them into five baskets instead. Consequently, this caused me to jump from one ship to another; leaving me unfocused, unmotivated, and yeah- bored.
As I am writing this now, my life is quite the contrary.
My blog, The Static Food Bin, truly makes me feel alive. This passion pushes me to seek development and opportunities. It encourages me step out of my comfort zone and convinces me to do things I’ve never done before… like reaching out to local business to learn their story, so that I can share it with all of you. It has been so much fun!
I hope everyone is also living their life with passion. If not, it’s alright. Just make sure you take the appropriate steps to figure out what your passion is. Try new things, do things you are slightly interested in, make new goals, and don’t give up. I found my passion by pursuing a goal to become a Yelp Elite. At the time, I had no idea that all my Yelping will lead me to my blog. You can read more about it in my recent post, “Confession of a Food Blogger V: I Love You All.I Love You All.” 🙂
I’ve been working on a new “About Me” and a post on “Deets on L.A’s Eats,” which I am so excited to share with you all! Until then…
