So… I’m not a great dessert baker.
Actually- I can’t fully confirm that because I never really gave baking a shot. Mostly because I’m lazy when it comes to measuring ingredients and the thought of flour, baking soda, plus a million baking utensils scattered across my kitchen counter or floor overwhelms me. As you can see, I don’t like cleaning either.
When it comes to making desserts, I prefer to do the most minimal as possible. Which is why every cookie, brownie, or scone that I’ve ever baked in my life always derived from a prepackaged box with instructions that tells me that I only need eggs, some butter, and maybe couple teaspoons of oil (depending on the mix). No, it’s not very Martha-Stewart of me (and I’ll never be), but I do enjoy adding my own twists to the mix.
For example, I love the the prepackaged Classic Chocolate chip cookie mix by Stonewall Kitchen. I first discovered them on Milk & Eggs Website and I’ve ordered it multiple times! I would try to do something different to it each time. For this batch, I added chia seeds and some dried blueberries, cherries, and raisins.
I must say that this batch came out pretty well! My cookies are typically more on the softer, chewy side. Do you like cookies chewy or crunchy? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
